• Profile Data — your name, contact details, user type, and the athletic, academic, coaching, or program information you add to your profile (such as position, school, graduation year, statistics, and roster needs).
• Payment Information — when you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and stores your card details; we receive only limited information such as your subscription status and the last four digits of your card. We never store your full card number.
• Usage Data — log data, device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, and interactions with the Service, collected automatically as you use the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including creating profiles and generating HoopTistic Score matches.
• Process subscriptions and payments through Stripe.
• Facilitate connections and messaging between players, families, programs, and coaches.
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, security, and support.
• Improve and personalize the Service and develop new features.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• With other users — profile information you choose to make visible is shared with other users in accordance with your account type and settings (for example, programs discovering players).
• With service providers — trusted vendors who help us operate the Service, such as Stripe (payments) and our hosting and database providers, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• For legal reasons — when required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of HoopTistic, our users, or others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the protections of this Privacy Policy.

We may also share information with your consent or at your direction.

4. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reliance on PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

5. FERPA Rights

For student-athletes, educational records such as transcripts are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ("FERPA"). HoopTistic shares educational records only with your explicit, informed consent (or that of a parent or guardian for eligible students) through our FERPA-compliant transcript waiver system. You have the right to review the educational records you submit, request corrections, and withdraw consent for future sharing at any time. Parents and guardians may exercise these rights on behalf of minor students.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. Users under 18 must have the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian to create and manage an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service, and understand how the Platform is used. This includes essential cookies for authentication and session management (provided through our infrastructure) and limited analytics.
